Dr. Richard J Lopez, MD

Dr. Lopez is probably the least professional medical person I've ever had the misfortune to visit. Absolutely no bedside manner, no evidence of expertise in his diagnosis and no ability to relate to the patient in a professional manner. He appeared to be totally uninterested in our problem and pretty much passed this on to us that through his body language. The supporting staff at this facility were all top notch medical professionals, the doctor was not.

We took my 9 yo son to see Dr. Lopez at an urgent care center after a bad cut. He walked into room without greeting us parents or my son. He looked at my sons cut and literally just shrugged. After a few moments of silence we asked what he thought. My son needed stitches but was reluctant to do them. He thought my son would scream and kick (his words). We were certain he needed stitches so asked him to proceed with them, although his comments and demeanor expressed that he really didn't want to. My son handled the procedure perfectly, no screaming, no movement. He made assumptions and just had poor bedside manner. His nurses and staff made up for his bad attitude.

Lose him. Had a terrible visit.
