Dr. Richard Joseph Macias, MD

Dr. Macias is an excellent doctor and my son loves him. He even made a trip to the hospital to see my son on a weekend and followed up with us via phone on a Sunday, without making us feel as though we were putting him out. Such a great doctor!

I absolutely love dr macias. My daughter caught whooping cough at only 3 months old. It's a little hard to get in to see him it took two weeks to get in but once we saw him he knew exactly what the problem was. So after two weeks and ten trips to the hospital/doctors somebody finally took me serious (I knew something was wrong but I'm a young mother so people play it off like I'm stupid). Once we were admitted to the hospital for 6 days dr macias came to see us everyday even on his day off jut to check on her. He made sure I had no questions and kept patting me on the back for getting her in there. He is very staightforward ad he knows what he's talking about. I'm so comfortable to have him as my daughters doctor and I wish I had a doctor so attentive growing up. We say no to the lo, roll with Rowland , but we want macias to see us! I highly recommend dr macias.

This office is very rushed and the staff is frantic and we are made to feel like numbers. I think Dr. Macias is ok , but did not seem very up to date with things. He had an attitude which was a bit arrogant. Our old pediatrician was more kind, so we thought they were all like this. The more easily seen pediatrician there is rough. Not the best, would be cautious.

he's been our pediatrician for 10+ yrs. Friendly w/kids; babies love him. Older kids appreciate that he doesn't talk down to them. You can tell that he cares & doesn't try to rush you out the door. Not sure if he's accepting new patients. It can be a LONG wait before youu get into his office but if it's an emergency, the staff often finds a way to squeeze you in. I know many parents who also go to him and LOVE him.

I love Dr. Macias plus he loves the Lord which makes me happy! He gives the bulk of his attention to my daughter which is what I want. Even when he is busy he makes time to answer my questions.

Central Coast Pediatrics and Dr. Macias are very popular in this area and that can make it difficult to get in to see them. However, whenever I have made the urgency of my need for an appointment known, I have not had a problem getting in. They do use a triage nurse and it is a pain sometimes to have to wait for a phone call back, but this helps them rate the urgency of the patient needs. Dr. Macias is a kind, caring and competent doctor who always makes me and my kids feel comfortable and like we are the most important thing on his agenda at the moment, just as it should be. He listens and is very good at getting the whole picture. I would highly recommend him and his whole office. The staff is great too!
