Dr. Richard George Mackenzie, MD

Richard MacKenzie, MD, CM, FAAP is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, Director of Adolescent Medicine Program at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. He is a Past President of the Society for Adolescent Medicine and an active member of the International Association of Adolescent Health. He has been a pioneer in the development of clinical and research approaches to issues that compromise the health of young people including drug and alcohol abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, eating disorders, and other biobehavioral conditions. He has developed a number of programs for high risk, homeless and runaway youth, many of which have been replicated worldwide. His expertise, programs and leadership in the field of adolescent health have been recognized through awards for outstanding achievement by the American Academy of Pediatric and Society for Adolescent Medicine.
