Dr. Matthews and his staff are very professional, courteous, and caring. My husband and I have known Dr. Matthews for over seven years, and we have resolved to continue seeing him after we moved away from Gulf Breeze 3 years ago. During my recent visit, I was impressed once again by their excellent service as a team. Sonia went an extra mile in scheduling my appointment addressing an issue indicating cancer risk. Hope (NP) was attentive in asking questions and thoughtfully offered me special bandages for protection. Upon thorough examinations, Dr. Matthews clearly explained the issue and its potential risks and solutions, patiently answered my questions, and comprehensively offered instructions and next steps to take. While being an esteemed and knowledgeable physician, he was extraordinarily amiable and compassionate, naturally treating his patients like friends or families. We are blessed to have him as our primary care physician.

Dr Matthews had been our family physician for over 25 years. The level of care my entire family has received from him is simply outstanding. His caring, unhurried demeanor lends itself to successful treatment plans. We’ve been fortunate to have such an excellent practitioner available in our community.

Dr. Matthews has been our family doctor since 1996. He has consistently provided us with a tremendous amount of compassion and honesty during our visits. We have never experienced any difficulty when short notice needs for consultation arose; he and his staff were always available. I've had over 25 years of military service and wished I had known him during that time. He's honest and forthcoming, knowledgeable and we highly recommend him to all our friends and relatives.

I chose Dr. Matthews as my new primary care physician based on extensive online research. He far exceeded my high expectations during my first visit. Beyond his expertise in Western medicine, Dr. Matthews demonstrated broad knowledge about and rare dedication to enhancing the wellness of his patients preventively and holistically. I was also impressed by his extraordinary kindness and genuine care for his patients. For example, I declined his recommendation for a colonoscopy as I had always done in the past. While being respectful as my previous doctors were, he gently informed me that symptoms would typically appear at late stages of colon cancer. Then, he went an extra mile and convinced me not to take the chance by sharing the tragic death of his best friend at age 52 to colon cancer, which could have been prevented by a colonoscopy. I was touched and grateful. In brief, Dr. Matthew is such a blessing and I recommend him to everyone without any reservations.

Excellent listener, and always takes his time with his patients...you feel like you are not just a number! We were new to the area 4 years ago and he was highly recommended by people that I work with on a daily basis. You know you can call for an appointment and not have to wait forever to be seen!
