Dr. Richard Anthony Meleo, DDS

Richard A. Meleo, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Meleo was born in Plainfield, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in biology and was inducted into the Biologic Honor Society.
Following his graduation from Rutgers, Dr. Meleo was accepted into Northwestern University Dental School in Illinois. Dr. Meleo received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, and, upon graduation, was accepted into a general practice residency program at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Following his residency, Dr. Meleo spent four years working as an associate dentist in Hartford, Connecticut, before returning home to begin his own practice in North Plainfield.
Dr. Meleo is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Sports Dentistry and the Academy of Osseointegration (Implantology). In addition, he is an active member and volunteer with ASPEN, a network providing education and support for families and individuals whose lives are …affected by autism spectrum disorders. Most recently, Dr. Meleo has volunteered as a dental team member on a yearly mission to LaEntrada, Honduras to serve the dental needs of children and teachers at the "Hearts for Honduras" grammar school. Both the doctor and his staff have completed many hours of continuing education. Dr. Meleo's continuing education quest has culminated with the passing of a comprehensive examination and being awarded the title of F.A.G.D. (Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry).
Dr. Meleo sees each patient as the primary focus of his entire team. He strives to know his patients well before beginning any treatment. All of his staff strive to produce great patient relationships, as well.
