Dr. Richard Duncan Minkner, MD

Dr. Minkler spent only a very few minutes with me and he didn't seem to have any current access to my health history even though he said he had reviewed my complete medical history and that I had no significant issues. On the basis of one higher BP reading in his office today, he recommended that I increase my hydrochlorothiazide medication, but also said I didn't need any lab tests done. When I received my visitor results by email, one result showed my systolic BP to be in the mid 150s, and the other showed it to be in the 170's. Note that I had told him I was anxious while I was in his office.

He’s rude and arrogant with zero bedside manner. Why this man is working in a place that says God bless you as you’re leaving, I have no idea. My daughter is disabled and feels he discriminating against her because of her disability. She will not be returning to a place that allows a man like that to practice medicine in the name of Adventist, which is religious, Health.

Absolutely no follow-up from this doctor at all. He seems nice enough, but the complete lack of communication and follow-up is a serious issue if you want a primary care doctor who will actually look at your medical history and make a health plan that meets your needs. There is fear that a serious health issue will be ignored or overlooked due to the complete lack of care and follow-up by this doctor and his office. I can’t recommend him due to this. During my recent “annual physical “, I didn’t even get an exam, I had to ask for annual lab work, which ended up showing some health concerns, which he didn’t follow up on.

I'm A patient of, a DR who is on medical leave. This DR is taking her place for now. I was a resident of Paradise until my home was burned down. Now I live above Paradise. I had an Appt with my primary care DR I received a call she would be off for some time. So was told this DR was taking over for her until she returned. I was shocked by the way this DR treated me. He seemed as if I was taking up his time was short, And had no interest in what I had to say. My face to face with him was I think 5 or 6 Minutes at the most. I suffered from CLL and was stage 4 when I was forced to see another oncologist at the city of hope. I feel this DR should be ashamed of his interaction with patients. I know of Several people who have seen him and had the same experience with him. I know I will NEVER see him again. If I could rate him -100, I would do so.
