Dr. Richard John Mitlehner, MD

Dr Mitlehner gave me more than ample time to relay to him my concerns and asked each one with constructive remedies that I will do in conjunction with the treatment he prescribed. I have been his patient for many year and I think he is a very good doctor.

I have been going to him for 10 years. He always listens & makes sure I understand how he will treat me. He knows when to encourage me & when to hold me accountable for what I should be doing. WSC

I've been Dr. Mitlehner's patient for about a 1 year now and he makes me feel like I've have known him for years. He reads all my other Doctors notes and notes that I'm well taken care of. He listens and give me the best care that he can provide. I am truly grateful that he is my Doctor.

At first, I didn't like Dr Mitlehner; I'm a difficult patient. However, he earned my respect and won my admiration - for one, he was right. For two, he was more up-to-date. His attitude stayed jovial and friendly, but his understanding of medicine always dominated. Maybe he wasn't a great listener at first (maybe it was me) but he became a great listener, and as I verbally dumped anything and everything that might be a sign or symptom, he was able to pick out the correct parts, assemble a diagnosis, and then a treatment plan, and he was right every time. That's not an easy thing for me to admit. I'm older than he is, and I've experienced many doctors. This is the guy I trust. His ratings suffer a bit in "promptness" but I know he spends time with me, and likely that is why he's sometimes late to see me... I'll bet he spent the necessary time with a prior patient. Dr Mitlehner does not "follow up" much with me; he leaves that to me. He has a treatment plan, tells me my part in… that plan; usually my part includes instructions for me to call him if things do not progress as he said they would. He's had his nurse call me, and he had a message system where he would record his voice, and I would call some phone number and press some buttons, and I would hear his voice. So I give him five stars in the "follows up" category, with qualifications. He followed up just as much as necessary.

Dr Mitlehner is very nice, easy going, and most always has good advice! Husband and wife see him and we both like him!

The Dr seemed only interested in listening without any feedback. I waited 4 days, to meet up for 5 minutes without any diagnosis and then no follow ups. I didn't feel his concern for my condition. Also, there is loud music playing outside the examination room, and you can hear the staff laughing outside while you suffer inside.

I had an acute problem. I was seen the same day I called, did not wait long, got excellent medical attention and discussion, was referred to two specialists promptly once my CT scan showed abnormalities. I am a doctor and know what good medical behavior is; Dr. Mitlehner gets my highest ratings and respect for being a very competent, efficient and compassionate doctor.
