Dr. Richard W. Monk, MD, FCCP

I am so pleased with Dr. Monk. When I was referred to his practice I had had many episodes of bronchitis and was down physically many times during the year with this for long periods. He listened to to intently on my first visit ran tests and diagnosed me with Asthma. All of the medications that he has prescribed has helped me tremendously. My world is a lot better because of him. I love his professionalism and his manners. I am glad I found a Dr that takes the time to talk and listen to me and not treat me like another person going through a production process. I was definitely afraid of what I might of been diagnosed with prior to my visit. But I am very confident and is comfortable knowing what I have and knowledgeable of it because of him and the time he has spent with me. His nurse is very also helpful and courteous. I would for lady at front desk to a little bit more professional and not yell pertinent information out but other than that I am so glad to have him as my pulmonary… physician. I brag about him all the time. I would recommend him highly!

Visited Dr. Monk due to breathing issues which I determined I knew the cause as I'd been diagnosed with athlete's asthma years ago (60 yrs of age now) and had a recent scan done on my lungs which I provided to him via disc. Told him I knew what was wrong and I just needed some antibiotics and I'd be good. After some back and forth - he advised me he was the doctor and I - the patient. And he would NOT prescribe antibiotics but, instead wanted to perform a bronchoscopy. Needless to say - he was right and I am sooooooooo thankful for his knowledge and performance. LUNG ISSUES? SEE DR. RICHARD MONK. Thank you for being soooooo thorough. So grateful. Liz Capps

There are no words that can describe this doctor. Not caring, not listening,. Why did he become a doctor? To make money and that seems what comes across at least. I think you have asthma. Then he stick is head in the door and says, no you don't have asthmas. All without examination. what can I say, no recommendation from me. I expect a doctor to care, listen and for sure examine me to find out what is going on. No such luck here. He can figure it all out without that. He needs to go back to medical school or find another job. First Do No Harm is the Hippocratic Oath and that does no longer apply to most doctors. They found a way around it in most cases. Sad for patients.
