Dr. Richard Alan Mouchantat, MD

No one answers the phone. It goes straight to voice-mail. Left several messages over several weeks before someone called me back to schedule an appointment 2 months out. Went to the appointment, filled out the paperwork, only to have the doctor tell me as soon as he came in the room, that he doesn't do surgery for smokers. Wasted 3 months waiting. Put it on the website or have the staff screen patients. Seems like fraud to me. Just wanted me to come in so he could get paid for nothing.

I read all of the reviews because I am a psychologist and about to have surgery with dr Mouchantat. I could see from the 3 reviews rated as a 1 that they are written by the same person. The language and content is identical. What is even more suspicious is there are no details about what went wrong. Very vague and harmful to his character. When I met Dr Mouchantat he was the opposite of arrogant. People get away with character assassination on reviews and sites like this because it’s anonymous. So sad people act out in harmful ways to hurt people with integrity. So sad for that reviewer!

I have hated the appearance of my belly button ever since I was a kid. It always made me look fat, even though I've never been overweight. The way I chose Dr. Mouchantat was common sense. Before I scheduled a consultation with any plastic surgeon, I wanted to know if I unbilicoplasty was possible. I contacted five plastic surgeons in the Denver area and only one answered my question or even bothered to get back to me. Now, which doctor do you think I'm going to choose? Dr. M was awesome. He suggested, and performed, reverse abdominoplasty, which opened up my belly button instead of it looking like a dark cave. I'm beyond happy with the results. He listened to me. He didn't laugh when I said my belly button has basically ruined my life. I've never felt attractive in a bikini, but now I can, and I'm 57! Now, instead of my having to ask anyone if they know a good plastic surgeon, I can actually recommend one. If I want another procedure down the road, there's no question who… I'm going to.

This is not a surgeon you want to trust with your life. He is more interested in building up and filling up his own wallet by performing multiple procedures. He did not give me good advice and did not do me any favors. That is not what you want from a surgeon. Condescending and patronizing.

Highly recommend Dr. Mouchantat. Answered all my questions pre and post op. The ladies in his office are great too!

Does not listen to his patients. He will do whatever he wants without regard to the consequences that his patients must live with. Arrogant and condescending....that’s the worst kind of doctor you would ever trust with your life. Go somewhere else!!

Did what he wanted and not what I wanted. Did not listen to the patient. Was condescending and arrogant!! Would never use him again!! A real jerk and not a good doctor......use caution. Go somewhere else...don’t walk but run!!

I'm very happy that Dr. M was recommended to me. Treatment was longer than expected but the results are well worth it. He takes time to listen. I never felt like my questions were ignored. The office staff was always helpful.

I suffered a accident at work on the early 2000s where a saw blade went into my forehead and also severed my nose.....this guy did an excellent job on me and nearly 15 years later i will never forget him 5 stars

My experience with breast reconstruction before and after my mysectomy with Dr Mouchantat was excellent care, top notch surgeon! I would highly recommend him. He is a perfectionist, is honest, gives you options, with great bedside manner, works you in and no wait time.
