Dr. Richard Lee Noel, MD

Dr. Noel is a wonderful Dr. and person. I honestly don’t like to think where I would be without his excellent care over the many years I have seen him. I consider him my lifeline because if I have any trouble he’s only a phone call away ready to really listen and come up with a solution. I wish I could give him 10 stars!

Dr. Noel has been so amazing, he literally saved my life. He's extremely nice, and actually cares about his patients. I've seen him for 10 years, going on 11.

Dr. Noel is without a doubt one of the top psychiatrist in Houston and for good reason. He is extremely knowledgeable about any and all conditions in his field along with all medications that may be required to treat those conditions. He is an incredible listener and has an excellent bedside manner. He is so caring and compassionate to both my 12 year old daughter and me. If you need to speak to him he ALWAYS returns your call that evening. If you are a new patient it is worth the wait to get in.

The entire doctorâ??s office (excluding the actual doctors) is the worst. The nurses/receptionists are all old and always, literally always, in a bad moodâ?¦on the phone and in person. They look like they are absolutely miserable sitting in their big, comfy chairs. And when they talk, they sound like theyâ??re dying. Just the grumpiest women you will ever come across. This is a mental health office. You think the people who work there would create a positive environment and at least smile when you come in. They donâ??t even look at you. They just shove a piece of paper in your face to sign. Then when you call the refill your prescription, the tone in their voice just makes you feel sad and guiltyâ?¦.itâ??s like they hex into depression when you ask them politely to fill out a piece of paper and mail it to you in a envelope that you have already provided pre-stamped and addressed.

Inaccurate dx, overestimates severity, rx too strong.

An excellent Doctor. Wish there were more like him.

WONDERFUL, COMPASSIONATE, CARING.

It takes 6 months or more to get in but the wait is worth it.

Takes his time. Listens. Current on most recent developments in field. NEVER offloads clients/patients to PA's (unlike many, many, many doctors)! Be patient, he is popular, and his waiting list can be long. But once you are in, he is completely worth whatever it takes to get in to see him. He has a calming demeanor, is not the least bit patronizing or paternal, and genuinely cares. I may regret posting this, but I honestly think he's the best psychiatrist in Houston.
