Dr. Richard John Pena Ariet, MD

I am a fairly new patient and have found Dr. Pena-Ariet's staff to be most accommodating and professional. They are also very knowledgeable and acutely aware of small nuances in presentation. I highly recommend them.

Dr Richard very good Dr he care about his patience been with him for 10 yrs he patience and get to the roof of your medical problem you can trust him and he has nice people working in his office.

He’s a great Dr. but the people that work for his office are very unprofessional.

Very professional, empathetic, and genuinely takes to listen and calls back after hours returning calls or checking on status.

Pena arietâ??s review Although this health provider has a good reputation, I NEVER actually met him or even spoke with him. In 3 visits I only dealt with his subordinates, who were OK. Every time I went to the office I had to wait at least ONE HOUR to be seen. That's just too long. On top of that, I had three major problems besides that. One was that the office is poorly run. One month after I requested my medical records transferred they were not. They said that it was "the other doctor's" fault, but they didn't follow up. When I called "the other doctor" to request the records, they were sent at once. I later requested my records to be sent to my cardiologisst downstairs, and they refused. They blamed on HIPA rules, but I know them well, and they don't apply. Then I personally went to the office to pick up the records they refused to give them to me. MY OWN RECORDS!!! The final incident happened when I asked for clearence for a minor (cataract) surgery. The doctor's… subordinate who examined me found me of course OK so the surgery was scheduled for the following Monday. However, when I went for surgery I found that my clearence had been revoked the previous Saturday at 4:45 PM saying that he needed records from a cardiologist. Obviously it was too late in the day, and too late in the week, to get them (besides, his office had just done an EKG on me). This created a great inconvenience since I had to be in the surgical clinic at 6:15 AM. At that point I had to get records from my cardiologist and another visit from Dr Pena-Ariet although I again didn't actually see him. I of course got cleared for surgery, but I had to postpone it for 2 weeks because or Dr Pena-Ariet's office problems. I mentioned to his office secretary that I would write a review of my experiences on Angie's List, and a few days later I got a letter by which the doctor was "discharging" me as a patient. There was no way that I would deal with him or his office again anyway...

out 4-5 office staff he has one individual that thinks she is the one knows and mandates everything, I have heard her be rude to patients. I have called for my granmothers referrals and she has told me tht I have to wait until she goes down the pile because they have 7 days to process requests. My granmother was her hurting and was bleeding. I took her to the hospital and she had to have ulcers burned. I will never take my granmother there again. Too bad because Dr. PenaAriet has a good sidemanner. I'm sure he will lose many patients because of this individual. I'm assuming he doesn't see it.

I love Dr. Pena-Airet but his office staff is terriable! They pick up the phone and never ask you to hold just put you on hold. I have been on hold for 7 minutes and then been hung up on only to call back and get hung up on 3 times more in a row. I would suggust visiting the NP. She is great as well if you cant get in with Dr. I am really concidering switching Dr. because of the staff though!

Dr. Pena-Ariet diagnosed my unique symptoms and prescribed the correct medication to remedy my ailment. He was caring and understanding during my entire encounter. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Pena-Ariet came highly recommended by a friend who is his patient. I liked him, although he seems very busy and have little time to spend with a patient.I tried to reach him or one of his assistant today due to a medical problem.I was put on hold 3 times, from 5 minutes to 9 minutes, each time I had to hang up. Never was able to speak to a person other than the person who answered the phone. If the Doctor is aware of this and he does nothing to correct it - the office staff reflects the doctor's attitude - so maybe he is not that great of a doctor.

OFFICE STAFF IS UNCARING AND INEPT.
