Dr. Richard Allen Perez, MD

Years ago I took my son several times to see this Dr! My son was always a big child for his age and stocky! I took him in for a sore throat and this so called Dr said to me look at this Buffalo hump! I said what! He said the back of his neck that’s what I call it then proceeded to talk down to my child! Well my baby boy is 35 now and Perez the boy you put down called fat among other snide remarks at age 7 is now a compound Pharmacist with his own Pharmacy! But you claimed he wouldn’t amount to anything! I wouldn’t let you treat my dog!!!! My son still remembers those words and you Perez are trash!!!!!!!!

So my mom took me since i was very small and only a few months old and i still didnt have much memories then until i got abit older...say 6 to 3 etc. mom noticed i was developing disabilities and really wanted me to get checked.he said i merely had ADHD but never ran tests or anything,just threw drugs at her for me to take,she was skeptical and had me not take them. as years went by he proceeded to be more aggressive with me and my mom which i truly hated,for one,im super sensitive to this and also as a survivor of child abuse from my father i was not boding well with this. he would comment about how 'pretty' or beautiful i was growing up. and would be strict about my weight. at this point i was a teenager with depression and anxiety,and began selfharming. he knew of this and didn't actually do anything to help me by going to see doctors let alone not giving my mom helpful advice on any of this. by 16 i struggled with my weight and he would insult me constantly when i went to visit him… if i wasnt dolled up.. he would say very obscene things,and repetitively brought up politics with my mother. when i tried to verbalize my hopes and dreams he was quick to talk about just himself as if i didnt matter and forgot about me quickly. he spoke very condescendingly to my mother all the time and to me aswell. there was a point in time he had two students walk in to study and i allowed this,but the next thing was him berating me saying i look like i havent showered (IN SPANISH) and saying how i look horrible,that im dressing horribly,saying how awful i look how frail i am and insulting my mother infront of them. little to say i went home crying and did NOT want to talk to anybody. at 20 yrs old was went i had lost my limit and had begun suffering panic attacks and he was very poor at telling me what those are or even getting me psychiatric help. he called a psychward and sent me to it without letting my mother make the choice or addressing it. he said he didnt want to deal with me and said that c-ptsd wasnt a thing in anyone BUT veterans and soldiers and my trauma was nothing but a figment of my imagination. he made sick comments about those less fortunate that SSI would ruin their careers and lives. and he told me to be a good girl and take my meds. i changed doctors and i am now 22 and the doctor i have now is so empathetic and more caring than this monster. i have been diagnosed with C-PTSD,GAD,Autism (high-functioning) and Ehler Danlos Syndrome. this man doesn't know what he's doing let alone understands kids. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. i couldve gotten help from a more better doctor than this "doctor"

All I have a to say is I went home in TEARS. I’m disgusted. Not only did he sit there and try to accuse me of making up a disability for my child, he tried to accuse me of getting a CHECK FROM THE STATE FOR IT. Which I don’t! But even if I did, what does THAT have to do with my child?! He said my child was “fine”. And that he “looks normal to me” GET A GRIP! My child for the past 3 years has been seen by a medical team much more esteemed than this crock and has multiple DIAGNOSES . He insulted me, my home town, Arcadia, FL. My previous doctors, my therapists and psychologists, he insulted my son and basically told me the entire time how AMAZING he was and how stupid I am for doing to tests that I did. I can’t fathom how this guy is in business. There’s another HOUR I could type of insults and absolute ignorance that came of my visit... just please, please keep your children away from here... RUN out NOW! RUN!

My granddaughter likes Doctor Perez. He always asked her whats wrong and explaines to her what she needs to do. When she has a question, he will explain his answer. I like the fact he takes his time with his patients.

Didn't want listen to anything I had to say and he also made my kids feel uncomfortable. For some reason he felt he needed to do a full on physical every time I went there. Very arrogant.

Comments on my physical appearance being "pretty" or not.. Had nothing to do with concerns of my health. Absolutely gross.

Appointment at 3 and didn't see the doctor until after 5. No apologies from them. Will find another doctor.

Whatever you do, don't waste your time going to see Richard Perez. He's an egomaniac with no respect for your time or child. He will keep you waiting over THREE HOURS with no apology for the wait. He made us wait so long that he made me late for a later appointment. When we rushed out of his office after the exam I didn't take the time to pay the receptionist. They called me and said that if I didn't come back to the office before the end of business to pay the co-pay that he was dropping my kids from his practice. Totally unprofessional!

He' s a no bs doctor. He tells you how it is. Doesn't like unnecessary use of insurance or putting your child through unnecessary tests

Great doctor he takes care of my 4 children and is good with them
