Dr. Richard Irwin Perry, MD

Dr. Perry knows what being Autistic is like because he has helped People across the spectrum of autism for almost 40 years. That’s a whole lot of experience and that’s a whole lot of support Autistic people can get from those who are very highly needed for support to those with low needs of support. Dr. Perry has helped hundreds and hundreds of Those on the autistic Spectrum and beyond in his lifetime practice. Without him, Autistic people would not gain the way anyone can be able to advocate for themselves. Not only that many of us would not have our proper identity, thus be misdiagnosed and painfully emotionally hurt from another doctor’s misidentified diagnosis. Dr. Perry is a great ally as a result. We all need a Dr. Perry.

Dr. Perry is a great diagnostician. Dr. Perry knows very well what medications if a patient needs it that best fits his patients. Dr. Perry tries his best to understand his patients who he diagnoses as being autistic. Sometimes Dr. Perry can think more about what the parents want rather than what the individual he is seeing actually wants. This can be a problem, but the individual needs to be a strong self-advocate in identifying the needs of what they want from Dr. Perry. Dr. Perry can be objective. I know him a long time and find he has an open mind willing to learn from his patients. He puts his all into helping as much as he can.

We've been using Dr. Perry for 10 years for my son and have been quite satisfied. He appears to be very experienced in the field of ASD.
