Dr. Richard Rocco Pesce, MD

He has NO REGARD for family of the dying. He only "worked" on my daughter, because she was the very same age as his daughter! Had she been 27,28,29 31, 32,or 33 he, by his own words wouldn't even have tried! What a heartless piece of crap!!

Dr. Pesce was the emergency room doctor when my sister had a life-ending blood clot go to her lung. He seems to be knowledgeable and a good doctor, when it comes to doctor stuff, but some of the things he said to my family were unacceptable. My mother was more scared than she had ever been in her life. He came in at one point to tell us that they had worked on her for nearly 2 hours and things didn't look good. In seeking comfort, my mother asked him if he was a Christian, as we are. He said, "That doesn't matter. I respect your faith, but faith doesn't move molecules. This is an issue of molecules." His tone was extremely condescending and I didn't feel it was the time or place for a doctor to be debating religion. A simple, "No ma'am, I'm not," would have sufficed. Finally, we were called into the "consultation room," and I knew that was the end. A nurse ushered us in and Dr. Pesce was coming down the hall. The door was open and as he passed the nurse, I'm not sure if he thought we… were deaf of just wasn't done proving his almighty point, but he said to the nurse with a chuckle, "Did you tell them to 'keep praying'?" The way he said the last two words felt like a school bully stomping on my chest when I was already down. He preceded to walk into the room and tell us my sister was not going to make it. JUST AFTER mocking us to the nurse. That was the worst night of my life and he did not a thing to make it any easier. I recommend steering clear at all costs, because even prior to our disagreements, he had no personability about him.

He was on staff the morning my daughter passed 5-16-15 He had no compassion towards us! Letting me.see my daughter with blood oozing from her mouth, making fun of us for our faith in God! He dismissed us and acted as though my daughter didn't matter. He made light of our faith & prayers..like he is God..he is more like satan!! She was just money in his deep pockets. Very cruel man. Incompetent. Wouldn't want one of my dogs go to him!

Dr. Pesce took care of my mom and I will never forget how attentive and compassionate he was. He actually rolled her down the hall to the ICU unit. I am forever grateful to him!
