Dr Richard Puls, in my estimation, is an excellent Urgent Care Physician. He is treating my medical problem, with much professionalism and care, for which I am most grateful! Thank you.

Very short & dismissive. Explained absolutely nothing

Went to get help for a bad sore throat and swollen glands suspecting strep and left with a diagnosis of drainage in back of throat and gave me amoxicillin! No swab for strep or flu! No mention of strep! Never touched my neck to check for huge glands! Why would he give antibiotic without knowing what I had! I went to Provena Mercy Hospital next day when Dreyer never called me back and they did tests for strep and both flu and guess what I had no flu but I do have strep! Dr. Puls said on my chart I had sinusitis! No symptoms for that! I know a sinus infection when I have one but I was there for a fire engine red sore throat swollen uvula glands stiff neck and he diagnosed me with a sinus infection! No swabs and give me an antibiotic! He is a dangerous doctor! I was contagious and walking around other people and he didn’t listen to my problem or care! Not like walk in care on Galena! Those doctors were great! They knew their stuff! Advocate you have a major problem! Glad the hospital… listened and cared! They new as soon as I opened my mouth to check and my huge glands! Now on penicillin and at 71 yrs! will not be returning to Dreyer Advocate where I have been for many years! They make way too many errors and people’s lives are at stake! I was smart enough to not listen but many aren’t! So very sad!
