Dr. Richard Wayne Reese, MD

I felt like Dr. Reese never believed my symptoms. I had gone to get a second opinion and that must have made him angry...although he could not give me answers with all the testing, he insisted that the other doc. who is helping me is wrong. I only wanted to feel better, not get involved in politics. He was very kind until he couldn't answer my questions, then I got lectured on questioning, very disheartening. I believe he has good intentions, but if you disagree with his opinion at all or get a second opinion just be prepared. The office staff and nurses at LGH though are wonderful and if I had known then what I know now, I would have simply seen a different rheumatologist at the same practice from the start.

Dr. Reese was able to accurately diagnose what 4 other doctors could not...Hodgkin's, in its earliest stage and it will give daughter a fighting chance. The diagnosis was based on a sore knuckle and some redness that came out of the blue and didn't go away with an anti-inflammatory.

Although I've only ever waited 10 minutes at most, I'd wait longer to be seen by Dr. Reese. He's one of the best docs in the area and unfortunately I've seen a lot of doctors. True professional.

This doctor knows his stuff. He is a clinician first and wants to give the right diagnosis. Has always been courteous and straight forward.

I feel like I am very much only a Number with this office. pull them in and push them out kinda feeling I get.

I felt he was an old school physician where MD = Medical Deity. I got more respect once he knew I was a nurse. I wish I had seen someone else.
