Dr. Richard Rhim is an excellent human being and surgeon. I first met him about 2years prior to a Mircodiscectomy surgery at L4/L5. When we first met, he did not think I was a candidate for back surgery and asked that I try PT (a surgeon telling me no surgery, wow). He was right. With PT my occasional low back pain subsided. Then, in the summer of 2018, I re-injured my low back and was diagnosed with a herniated disc that was pinching my Sciatic nerve. After 2 rounds of back injections with no relief from a different doctor, I called Dr. Rhim for his opinion. Given my MRI results and the 5 months of chronic leg pain, he suggested surgery. While I really didn’t want surgery, I simply could not continue life with that much pain every day, all day. He explained in very thorough detail what I could expect, the actual surgical process, the recovery process, and the statistics relevant to my surgery. Well, Dr. Rhim was 100% accurate. Everything he explained to me prior to surgery about… the process itself and the recovery was true. The very next day after surgery I was on my feet walking around with no leg pain at all. My low back ached a bit from the surgery, but was not terrible. In a week’s time, I was off of pain meds and getting around with no pain. Today, as I write this review, I am exactly 2 months post-surgery and feel great. No leg or back pain at all. If you are losing hope and think back/leg pain is something you’re going to have for the rest of your life, please think again and schedule an appointment with Dr. Rhim. He and his staff, especially Lisa, are simply amazing!

For two years I have suffered with excruciating pain. After being diagnosed with spinal stenosis I tried Physical therapy and shots nothing worked . I had forgotten what it was not to be in pain. After meeting with Dr. Rhim I chose spinal Fusion. Shortly after surgery ZI forgot what it was to be pain free. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Rhim for his knowledge and skill. Judy Sweeney

I'm so thankful I found Dr Rhim to do my surgery. I dealt with pain for 1 1/2 yrs and finally Dr Rhim came to my rescue! I have no discomfort or pain since the surgery. Wonderful Doctor

He operated on two of my family members two years ago. They are both in serious pain and have to take painkillers which sometimes doesn't even help. One now has to depend on a cane because she can barely walk. His bedside manner at the hospital was horrible.. When he came to her room after surgery to check her all he did was complain how tired her was from all his surgeries that day.... Really?????? The rest of my mothers life will have to be in agony because this doctor believes rods and 8 screws and bolts are everyone's answer.... Beware! I cry now for my mother and my aunt to see how after all they went through with such an extensive surgery and are so much worse than before surgery.

Dr Rhim was very nice and took time to explain my lumbar fusion surgery. He answered my million questions and not once got annoyed with me. Surgery went well and after care was great!
