Dr. Richard Michael Roman, MD

Super smart and thoughtful. Took the time to really understand and treat my mom’s condition.

South Denver GI, and specifically Dr. Roman, were recommended to me by a health care professional very familiar with his work. After learning a year ago that an older brother who was the picture of good health had been diagnosed with a rare, terminal neuroendocrine tumor of the colon, I scheduled a colonoscopy for myself. Afterward, Dr. Roman was extraordinarily thoughtful and courteous. He took the time to write me a very kind letter explaining why the polyps he found and excised did not necessarily portend that I would one day meet a fate similar to my brother’s. I have also recently been examined by and consulted with one of his P.A.’s. She also could not have been more lovely, courteous, thoughtful, and thorough.

I have been Dr. Romans patient for some time now and I am impressed with him because I have always found him to be professional and yet he has not made me feel like a dummy. He explains things thoroughly when asked questions and doesn't rush in and rush out again.

I saw him a couple of times after being diagnosed with a liver disease. He seemed to be a nice man but he could not help me at all. There are no drugs he could give me so there is really nothing they can do for me. In my opinion he typical of most doctors. They may have gotten into the business originally because of altruistic motives but now they care only about money.

In six months I've seen Roman twice for very very short, uninformative visits. I know his semi-rude nurse(s) and appointment "girl" much better than Roman. Very poor at answering questions suggesting he knows little about what he is treating.....which he pawns off on his assistances. I am looking for a new doctor immediately to treat my serious condition .

Never use Dr. Roman. He always claims the patient did not give enough information. He wanted me to take tests that I already took. He did not ask good questions, if any. Dr. Roman does not care about the patient or finding resolution for the condition. Poor follow up. At $18.00 a Minute I expected better treatment.

The worst doctor I have ever been to. Apparently does not care to help his patients. Quick to prescribe medicine. Violated hippo laws which I will be filing a report against. Although qualified he is heartless. Gives little information about procedures and leaves it to nurses instead of helping you himself.
