Dr. Richard M Rotnicki, DO

Not sure if this is normal, but I never once saw the Dr. I always had an appt with the PA. I had a procedure done and met the Dr. 5 minutes before the procedure was done. He never saw me again, not even after the procedure in recovery.

I went to Dr. Rotnicki because I was having some issues, his staff was courteous from the moment I walked in the door. Although I did have a little bit of a wait, it was well worth it. Dr. Rotnicki is very compassionate about his profession. He sat and explained everything to me and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend him to all my family and friends

He does not have a very good bedside manner nor does he look you in the eye or even seem to care about you. I went to him before my aging mother was very ill and he came into her hospital room and said he was going to do a colonoscopy on her. I told him no because she was almost 90 and she was too weak to have one. He agreed that we should wait until she was stronger. The next day after work when I visited her, she informed me that she had been given the prep and she was to have the colonoscopy the next day!!! I was there when she had the colonoscopy and when he came out to "greet" me, he said, "I didn't find anything!" And I said, "I thought we were going to wait until she was stronger! He turned his back on me without ever even looking me in the eye, and walked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know really three times? True I wait in the unoccupied outer waiting room for over half hour then in the inner patient room for another forty average. I have never had a follow up appointment with a doctor in that office. Looking for a new gastroenterologist again.

Was assigned to me when Imwent to silver cross. Had a 6 week follow up scheduled and he nevere showed up. His nurse practitioner came to the hospital after I waited 4 hrs., and she said the Dr. was at the Morris hospital. And said if you drive out there he will do your colonoscopy. I was in Joliet, and already prepped for my procedure there. I told her in no uncertain terms, I am not going anywhere, so find someone. Terrible experience. Got home at 3:30. Was there at 6:30 am. Stay far away from this guy.
