Dr. Richard Rubinowicz, MD

I have never been refused treatment by a dr in my life.I just saw this dr back in May of this year for an EMG,no problems.Now he is refusing to see me sayits a conflict due to i saw him 5 yrs ago for a workmans comp case.I bet it cant have anything to do with the negative review I left him after that appointment??? The staff was quite rude also when they told me he would not see me again.

I’m writing this so that other people don’t go through this process of feeling like they ripped money right out from underneath you. PLEASE SAVE your sanity and DO NOT visit or go to this office for any type of medical needs. I had THE WORSE experience with this office. The so call receptionist up front has NO IDEA how to do her job probably, and for that I have a almost $700 bill I have to fight to get a review for an appeal. THEY HAVE ADMITTED it was THEIR mistake but yet I’m the one paying the price. They like victim blaming too.

Workers comp issue and no matter what you tried to tell him, he will only prescribe topamax. He does exactly what workers comp wants him to. Nothing! Will not ever recommend him to anyone. You can ASK to be given another doctor. I didn't know this and am currently going to a real Doctor in Murfeesboro. Thanks for nothing!

Very unprofessional. Treats headaches but doesn't care what you have taken before that doesn't work, he still prescribes his "protocal drug" Topamax before anything else. His MA spends more time with you than he does. You have to pay too much money for the 5 minutes he spends with you. He is not a hands on doctor. Will not lay a finger on you to check various places to see what is going on with you. Does not want to hear what you have to say. Will interrupt you when you are trying to explain what is going on. Wants to charge you for every little thing. Whether it's asking for your records, (which belong to you anyway), filling out FMLA papers, etc. If you are billed for a no show, or late reschedule or cancellation, he wants you to pay those fees in full before he sees you again. Same goes for any balance you owe or if you are in collections. That office is money hungry. His staff is great!!! But when they are short handed, his MA does EVERYTHING and you can tell she gets stressed. NO… ONE comes up to help her.

I have been going round and round for years on a bill that was coded as a higher more detailed office visit than what Dr. Rubinowicz gave. Waited for the office manager to call me back after she said that she would fix it. 6 months later I called back and she no longer worked there. Explained to the receptionist what was going on and she would call me back, years later no call back. Sent to collections. I disputed the charge with them. They called him and he refused to fix the bill. I told her I refuse to pay it that this is insurance fraud and I plan to report him to my insurance company and the State of Tennesee for fraudulent billing practices.

I saw him for three years and he rubbed me wrong so many times. I always have him the benefit of the doubt because his staff was nice and helpful. He told me once that he could not treat my sinus infection because it "wasn't his department". He was rude about my 2-3 yr old child being f at some appointments, even though he was incredibly well behaved. He never wanted to do anything but BOTOX. Why?? Because it pays him big money in a short amount of time. It wasn't until I moved and called for records that he got even nastier. I needed a form for a personal situation relating to my condition and he acted so put out. They said they had to charge me $500 BUT it had to be by check only (likely so he could cash it "under the table") but when I could only do a credit card I got a call back saying it would take him too long and there was no time to fill out a two page check list of symptoms. He truly has no compassion what so ever and it's no wonder half his office quit. Surely there is a… better option in the area, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This Dr requests things that don't exist just so he can protect himself (even when there isn't anything to worry about) and could care less if he costs someone their job.!!!! His staff never returns a phone calls, EVER!!! If I weren't persistent in following up I wouldn't get any answers to our questions. Most recently was yesterday, I spoke with someone in the office at 8:30 am. Asked a simple question and never heard a word. It's really quite sad; when we left his office after visiting the first time we liked him, but, when an issue comes up and you need his help, he's a coward!!!! So completely disgusted with this Dr that it makes me sick! Don't use this Dr as your neurologist, there are so many that are so much better!!! Thus explaining the fact that he only has an overall 3 star rating.

Excellent doctor, I wish I could've found him sooner!

staff was attentive and courteous. dr. rubinowicz was patient and answered all the questions I had related to my visit. would definitely recommend this physician to friends and family members.
