Dr. Richard Saxton

Richard Saxton is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 27 years of providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families seeking help for anxiety; oppositional behavior; self-esteem; depression; trauma, and anger management. He is a retired veteran and understands the unique counseling needs of service members and their families. Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Duke University, and a Master of Education Degree in Counseling and Guidance from Howard University.Richard believes that each client is unique and provides client centered therapy based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness to develop skills and strategies that will meet each person’s needs.
