Dr. Richard F Shronts, MD

I saw Dr. Shronts back in the 90s for migraines. A heck of a nice person and very approachable which is not always the case with physicians. I can say with confidence that he takes genuine interest in his patients and is persistent even when faced with challenging symptoms. Although we didn't succeed in determining the etiology of them, I must give him kudos for trying. That's half the battle. As it turned out, I later learned why we were unable to figure out the cause-- they were hormonally generated. Unfortunately, in those days, medicine didn't fully understand the link between hormones and migraines. We may not have figured it out but it wasn't due to an unwillingness or lack of expertise. Dr. Shront's is competent and good at what he does. Just as importantly, he doesn't give up.

Excellent neurologist!!! We've seen a lot, from Mayo to Abbott to specialists in Chicago, and Richard is top notch in his field. He taught us that neurologists can have a heart as well as the smarts. He keeps on a case and doesn't give up. He listens to the patient.
