Dr. Richard William Skinner, DO

Negative stars. Gave too much self experience talk instead of getting straight to the point of my symptoms. When he was speaking, his eyes would wonder to areas of my body where at first I was criss cross in my chair and his eyes wondering down to my privates as he speaks then when I shifted my legs he started wondering to my chest. And when I covered my chest with my additional sweater, he finally was able to make eye contact with me while he spoke for an uncomfortable amount of time about His family and His experiences instead of listening to the patient. He checked my tongue but still kept talking, and didn’t tell me when to put my tongue back so I just did it myself. He wanted to look at my stomach and as I was about to expose my belly, he continued talking so I put my shirt back down until he was ready to check again then I put my shirt up a little bit. I took myself to urgent care after a 2 day bodily fluids episode and I needed to be hydrated, it felt like liquids were not… working for me as I tried to explain I could use an IV. He told me I did not need it and instead of hearing me out, he wanted to prescribe me medication for nausea but I wasn’t nauseous, I was depleted from hydration. My vitals said otherwise, but my body told me different. This doctor felt very condescending like he knows better than how I know my body is feeling. It was the most uncomfortable visit I’ve ever had at that urgent care.

REFUSES to help with covid help he will literally tell you to go take tylenol when you are having shortness of breath and lower blood oxygen levels. He is part of the reason why covid is getting out of control he refuses to use the resources available to him.

I visited an urgent care for stomach problem. He listened very carefully about what I said, and his explanation was very profound. He was very kind. I seldom met doctor like him. I was very pleased.

I saw him a few months ago when I was sick for about 2 weeks. My Family Practice Physician was on vacation, so they gave me an appointment with Dr. R. Skinner. He was perfect!!! I want him to be our (my wife & I) Family Practice Physician at Kaiser once Dr. G. Neifeld retires due to old age.

Dr. Skinner is the 1st MD in a LONG TIME to actually listen to my issues and was very thorough.

He is an alright dr.
