Dr. Sommerdyke is a graduate of Loyola University-Chicago, School of Dentistry, where he received first-rate training in all aspects of general dentistry. While in school, Dr. Sommerdyke excelled and became a board certified Dentist at the young age of 23. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Sommerdyke joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Captain for two years. After finshing his term in the Navy, Dr. Sommerdyke started his own private dental practice in Rosemont, California. In 1996, after spending 35 years in Rosemont, Dr. Sommerdyke made the decision to sell his highly successful practice in order to open his current practice in Shingle Springs where he could give each patient more of his individual attention.
Through a combination of state of the art technology, sensible treatment plans and genuine devotion to the unique needs of each patient, Dr. Sommerdyke preserves healthy teeth and gums, alleviates oral discomfort and improves the appearance of smiles …on a daily basis. He has applied his unique blend of artistic and technical skills to produce durable and aesthetic results in thousands of patients.
Dr. Sommerdyke is licensed by the Dental Board of California and is a member of the American Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society and California Dental Association.
