Dr. Richard Stober, MD

I’ve been taking my 85 year old mother to him for four months, he talks more than he listens, keeps leaving the room, can’t remember anything. Didn’t know my mother had been hospitalized and very very arrogant. Acts like he’s on something. No wonder it was so easy to get a first time appointment. Done with him. I hope he loses his license.

Dr. Stober is very concerned about the well being of me and my father whom are both patients. He takes the time to properly question you when you come in with symptoms. He doesn't just send you off for a test like most doctors. He uses his knowledge that he has acquired during his years of practice to diagnose his patients. Very concerned. He does run behind from time to time because he does take that extra time with any patients who may need it. We have been with Dr. Stober for years and have been very happy. His office and Staff are the best. Great location too. Northwestern and Inkster rd. at the Providence Medical Building.

The most arrogant, rude physician ever certified. Allowed me to suffer for years because he simply didn't care. After 30 years of practicing he was incapable of diagnosing classic gallstones. Epic failure.

Dr. Stober has a wonderful way of communicating and was very concerned about my health. He explained in details in a way which I was able to understand. He was thorough and spent a reasonable amount of time with me. The office wait to get to the exam room was around 30 minutes. Once I was in the exam room things flowed smoothly. I will recommend Dr. Stober to family and friends without hesitation. Another reason why I liked his practice was the friendly staff, location and parking.

Dr. Stober was very knowledgeable about my issues and gave very good advice that has helped me very much so far. I had a little bit of a wait but I don't mind that as long as I have a good doctor. I was thrilled to have found a doctor so close to my home in Bloomfield that takes my insurance and is accepting new patients. This is a win win for me.

He has mis-medicated my grandmother on at least 3 different occasions. The last ocassion within the last few months, forced my mother and I to take my 96 year old grandmother to the emergency and subsequent visits back and forth to the hospital and eventually to a rehabilitation center. All during this time, Dr. Stober never showed up as her primary care physician to follow up on her or even called or left us a message even after we left phone calls messages. We found out later from the surprised emergency room physicians and other doctors who had to evaluate her condition that the medications were alarmingly wrong. Mind you, this was not just 1 or 2 physicians, but other physicians who also had a look at her prescriptions. Well, they quickly changed her medication and an almost immediate difference in her health was noticed. My grandmother had been with Dr. Stober for over 10 years and on this combination of medications for quite a while. All along and to this day, we got no… word from him. That was pathetic and appalling and certainly unprofessional. In past visits to him for my grandmother, we have (and other family members who once had him as a doctor) found him to be very dismissive and arrogant; and on 2 other occasions, my mother and I were rightfully forced to question certain inaccurately prescribed medications. Why is this doctor even still allowed to practice?

Medicated my grandmother wrong on 3 different occassions!

Dr. Stober shows preferencial treatment to friends, and Colleagueâ??s that are patients. He spends endless periods of time conversersing with them about personal and professional things during their visits, unfortunately the walls are thin and you can hear the conversations. When it's your turn he barely remembers your name, never recalls why you are there, and rushes to get to the next person. Very abrupt and unconcerned, all about the benjamins.

After 7 office visits where PA spends more time w me than Dr., Dr. asks insulting questions and shows how clueless he is about me as a patient and arrogantly insults my veracity, medical issues and need for his services. All on my dime without insurance. Never again will I pay to be insulted and abused by a medical professional such as this Dr.

I found Dr. Stober quite arrogant. The wait time was unbelievable and when I stated this to him and his staff there was no recourse. They seemed more concerned with the medical sales people and what they were bringing for lunch.
