Dr. Richard Sydney Stockwell, DO

Dr. Stockwell had a look of disdain as soon as he walked in, even though I had never met him. He got upset when I tried to explain the origins of my symptoms and aggressively said, “Let me ask the questions”. I had unauthorized staples put in, which I needed imaging for, which he refused, regardless that they are causing nerve damage. He instead did an exam, which involves moving a finger that rips further, only creating more issues, though I imagine he charged my insurance company hundreds for it. I drove an hour and a half, to meet someone who seems to only want to cover up for a person in his field, that caused me pain, and difficultly walking, for the rest of my life. He ordered a scan he said would not show the staples, at his other location though refused to order the actual test that would show the staples are there. Some people people doctors to help others, it is not everyone however. Why he seems to think I am the enemy and not the victim, I have no idea, I can only assume,… it is related to money. Many confuse loyalty, with what is otherwise called, the oldest profession. Why an exam is needed to image staples that can not be seen during an exam, I have no idea. My referral was to get imaged, with the ultrasound equipment they advertise, not to get molested, in order to get imaging, which any 8 year old would be able to discern, would make a person in my situation, only worse. Maybe there is a reason to pull on them and make me bleed, with intense pain though for the life of me, I can not come up with any. If it is drug related, I hope he gets treatment though Im not sure there is a cure for some things. I even brought imagine from a CT scan which he refused to look at, saying, “I don’t know how to read those”. It was the images, from three angles, showing an artifact, exactly where a staple would be. I needed a DECT that could show the material though that would mean the person who did this to me, without my consent, would be held responsible for what they did. He chose to cover for them and cause me pain, instead. Thanks doctor.

He will process his procedure with his mask under his chin. He doesn't think the patients will see, but he does this on my appointment. This is very unsafe, and I'm afraid to go back because he doesn't believe in safety. He also is very loud and yells at his staff. I'm looking to find another doctor to care for me currently. He also exposes the patient at times, as my door was open during the procedure. The door was shut, but after I had to ask. Privacy is important.

I was in quite a bad physical condition from being unable to schedule a reasonably fast doctor appointment. After explaining to Dr. Stockwell's nurse that I needed the fastest possible appointment, she had me come in to fill out paperwork to speed things along. While in the office doing the paperwork, the nurse must have mentioned me to Dr. Stockwell because he squeezed me in then & there. He then examined and treated me relieving me of all of my discomfort. I saw him a second time & was treated just as well again by both he & his office staff. Thanks to all.
