Excellent care-giver

Superb! I feel more comfortable with Dr. Summa than any other physician I've seen in 50+ years.

I'm surprised there are not more reviews on this physician. He 100% great. I have never met a patient or staff member that didn't think he was the best ever. He takes his time, listens, ask questions and provides excellent follow-up. He even personally answered an email I sent via the MyChart system. SSM is lucky to have him.

My husband was seen by Dr. Summa several years ago when he was in the ICU for 17 days. If it had not been for his conscientious care and thoroughness my husband would not be alive today.I saaw him for a pulmonary problem -- he was very thorough and caring. He found out the problem when other doctors could not. As far as I am concerned, he's the best.

I came to Dr Summa with a medical condition that had not been diagnosed, Dr Summa is analytical and took action in helping discover what had been happening to me over the past 18 months. After some test and his professionalism he diagnosed my problem and I am being treated. This all happened because Dr Summa listened to me, took time with me asked me questions and took notes on all of my answers regardless how trivial they were, putting all of these things together has put me on the road to recovery. I recommend Dr Summa and trust him as a professional. Dr Summa is a very caring, down to earth doctor.

My mother has been seeing Dr. Summa for 2 years now and we have seen tremendous improvement in her condition. Dr. Summa is patient and has honest concern about his patients. The staff has worked with me when getting prescriptions filled and samples when needed. I'm thankful he is one of my mothers physician.

Dr. Richard Summa is, by far, the most caring, compassionate and charismatic doctor that I know. His staff adores him as do all of his patients I've met. I once overheard a conversation between a couple of ladies, one telling the other how wonderful her husband's doctor was. She didn't mention his name, hospital or his specialty but I knew that she couldn't have been describing any other doctor. I asked anyway, and I was right. I have, since then, met other of his patients and they all feel as I do about him. He is one of a kind.
