Rude and condescending to patients and subordinate medical professionals. Reprimand by the state well deserved - just too long in coming.

My Dad was sent to Dr. Terry by another surgeon due to the seriousness of his condition coupled with a number of health complications that Dad suffers with. I can say without hesitation that Dr. Richard Terry is absolutely the finest physician we have ever associated with (and Dad has many other wonderful doctors that we see). If your health care needs include honesty, directness, fact-based decision making, helping you to understand complex information in a simple easy to understand manner and a desire to have the absolute best health outcome you can achieve, that's what Dr. Terry can offer you. In consideration of the medical field today, I personally find it sad that there aren't more physicians like him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Terry for many years. I am very thankful to have him as my doctor. He is very caring and professional. He has always shown kindness to me, yes I have heard him get onto one of his staff but only after he ask her to make a call for me to have a test run on the day I was in his office and the nurse questioned him stating she didn't think they would not work me in the schedule for the test. He repeated the request to her, and thank goodness they were able to work me in the same day. I read all of the other bad reviews and I am very surprised at the comments. I could not ask for a more concerned and kind , trustworthy doctor. I would and have highly recommended him to my friends and family.

I wish all doctors were as good and caring as Dr. Terry is. My husband and I were both impressed with Dr. Terry the moment we met him. I was very lucky to see him at such short notice and am grateful that I did. I would recommend him to anyone. If the wait to see him is a little long just remember he is taking care of someone else who needs him too...

this guy is an ill mannered dinosaur, the kind that is slowly going extinct. He has terrible bedside manners, and treats his junior colleagues like animals, in front of the patient. He makes rash decisions and wouldnt follow the recommendation of all other doctors in the team. He has actually been formally reprimanded by the state for creating disturbing environment at workplace, and has had to undergo psychological counselling as well, you can go to the tn dot gov website and find all about it under the professional healthcare license section. Avoid like the plague.

I was sent to Dr. Terry by a Surgean in Murfreesboro Tn.because of the seriousness and the size of my tumor and the location.He specialized in my area of need and with his skills and deep care of my situation ,He saved me from an Ostomy Bag,and now I am going on a 2 year survivor anniversary.He is rather rough as far as his bedside manner,but I learned quickly,he has a caring heart and his expectations of the nursing staff at the Baptist Hospital,made my care more effectual.

This doctor is a pervert. He will perform a digital rectal exam at any and every opportunity, especially on female patients. He avoids direct answers to questions about your medical condition during office visits and is condescending. He also is so good at intimidating his staff during office visits and surgical procedures that they make errors. Please, find any other doctor but him.

Dr. Terry is a great surgeon. He provides customized healthcare for each patient. He is not an assembly line kind of doctor. He is meticulous and will lay out your options in a straightforward manner so you can make. The hospital staff at Baptist Hospital in Nashville was fabulous. They work well
