Dr. Tholen was amazing and delivered on my expectations

This is my 5th attempt to fix my shape of my breasts. I had tubular breasts, which I did not know but through self diagnosis figured it out. The first doctor suggestion "go bigger", 2nd "go more round", 3rd same as the 2nd but I went to CA so of course that would be the answer. 4th different type if implant, and the surgeon said that "I'm to young to get a lift". Well when I had my consultation with Dr. Tholen he said that I 'should have got a lift from the beginning. This man has changed my perception of myself. He is honest, he will not mislead you. Most importantly do your homework on the doctor. when you go tho the appointment for the consultation...If you feel intimidated, or insecure, or leaving not feeling compassion from your surgeon than keep looking and doing your research.

I have had a four surgeries attempting to alter/experiences, now 20 years of ignorant choices I finally dedicated the time to research talent and found my gem. I am over the moon with my experience.

Dr Tholen is the BEST ! I have had several surgeries over many years and have been happy with the Life changing results !

Horrible. Story too long to write. Breasts in armpit, liposuction that looks like it was never done & he constantly called me “a big girl”. Yes, 15lbs overweight does not mean i need huge implants when I voiced I didn’t want them. Beware. If you complain, he will try to shame & talk down to you. See his response to realself complaints. Don’t believe real self. Some of his negative reviews I did see previously have vanished. Hmmmm....I’m now going to a real doctor who listens to what I really want & fixed what he said was “normal”. It was deforming.....not normal!!

Terrible. Took the hypocrite oathe

Wow, terrible experience. Requested a consultation with 3 physicians for plastic surgery. Used RealSelf, not realizing at the time that it's a pay site that physicians can use to increase their profitability. Unlike Vitals or RateMDs, patient reviews are edited and not used to determine a doctor's rating! Of the three physicians I consulted with, Dr. Tholen was the worst. His office staff refused to put me on a waiting list for an earlier appt, and instead made me wait four months for a consultation. This is not because he's busy - this is because he wants to appear busy. After this delay, I arrived at my appt, only to wait over an hour in the waiting room. Once admitted, I waited ANOTHER HOUR to see the doctor. His nurse set up some instruments and said he would do an examination. He did neither. He literally spent 3 minutes with me, talking me out of the procedure he thought I wanted. Ironically, because his staff misinterpreted the purpose of the consultation, he thought I was there… to request a much more minor procedure - a procedure far too minor for his interest. So, he essentially blew me off, not realizing I was actually planning to do a rhinoplasty and liposuction. After the 3-minute meeting with absolutely no examination, he left me in his office to wait for the cost summary. ANOTHER HOUR. I am not kidding. I had to cancel another meeting I had that afternoon, while sitting in this guy's office, thanks to his incredible delays. His price? WAY over what other doctor's quoted (for the one procedure he got right). So glad to NEVER return. Would post this on RealSelf, but it would be deleted. He pays good money to look good on there. Go with Dr. Hoffman instead!

I saw Dr. Tholen a year ago for a breast augmentation. His understanding and patience, not to mention years of experience, resulted with me being even more pleased that I had imagined. He understood exactly what I was looking for and delivered.

I had an extended tummy tuck, and you can not tell , I have rolls still they moved up under my breasts making me look huge, cause I am still huge, I have a huge lump along my scar it hurts , they told me it would go away, 6 months later still there.....I was suppose to have liposuction but honestly you cant tell.....im so unhappy I get so depressed I just burst into tears, getting dressed I have panic attacks, I paid 20,000 for what looks and feels like nothing. I am so unhappy wish I had never done it. 20,000 , wow....im so so so unhappy
