Dr. Richard M Thomas Jr

Dr. Richard M. Thomas, Jr. is a cosmetic dentist with a passion for helping patients achieve healthy, radiant smiles. Committed to education, to advances in the field of dentistry, and especially to his patients, Dr. Thomas has dedicated himself to improving his patients' lives. When you come to him, you can expect nothing less than excellence. He taught at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, North Carolina, where dentists go to learn how to provide modern dentistry using new techniques and materials.
Dr. Thomas obtained early acceptance into dental school after only three years of pre-doctoral studies. He graduated from Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry before beginning his professional dental career in Savannah, Georgia. But his passion for education and improvement has continued. Dr. Thomas has completed postdoctoral coursework in Comprehensive Esthetic Dentistry at the Ross Nash Institute. He has also pursued postdoctoral studies on Implant Dentistry …at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Each year, he invests many hours into continuing education. The field of dentistry has experienced many exciting innovations in recent years, and Dr. Thomas has made sure to keep abreast of all the latest and best techniques.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Thomas is intimately involved in the national dental community. He also plays an important leadership role among local dentists as Past President of the Savannah Dental Society as well as Editor of the Southeastern District Dental Society Newsletter. Dr. Thomas shares his expertise through presentations to local dental study groups, local dental societies, and small business and neighborhood groups.
Dr. Thomas, his wife and daughter make their home in Savannah with their Brittany Spaniel dog. They are avid University of Georgia Bulldog fans. Dr. Thomas and his wife are also members of the Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. In their spare time, Dr. Thomas and his wife enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, boating, and relaxing on the beach. Dr. Thomas is also a voracious reader.
