For a physiatrist he is very unsympathetic and uncaring for those who suffer from severe PTSD and cannot comply with non mandatory mask in a open state of Texas. I have been sex traffics and physically choked out and when I explained why I couldn’t wear a mask for that long I was told I couldn’t be seen then after I had waited for testing for neuro exam for 3 weeks and it had been told to the scheduling lady I had severe PTSD before hand, it is all over my records ect. I offered to do complete paperwork in car and do visual portion by FaceTime or zoom but he was unwilling and not wanting to budge on a mask I couldn’t wear for over a hr without having multiple panic attacks. And when I explained as much in tears and in middle of panic attack and was told I’d have to find another dr then I was also told that that “ they hoped I felt better “ like I had a cold or stubbed my toe and were just going to get over it like a sickness or a injury. If you want a physiatrist that actually… understands and respects your physical limitations or is willing to work with you instead of wasting your time and his avid this one at all costs. It’s honestly unacceptable as a physiatrist not to physically acknowledge a patient’s disability especially when it’s in your own field smh.
