Dr. Richard Lawrence Weil, MD

We have used Dr. Weil as our pediatrician for the past 21 years. All of our kids have liked him and his staff has been consistently warm and easy to work with. I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful pediatrician!

Dr Weil has such a great approach....he listens and helps you understand the options and also his own observations. He has an ability to help you laugh and not get into "on no" thinking. He has worked with our son from birth to his graduation from college. He's very much of a patient advocate and this is a big reason to go to him. He helps the child and educates the parent. Fabulous.

Dr. Weil is one of the most professional and reasonable doctors I ever met. He knows what he's talking about. I think his experience says it all. I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Weil's for over a year and I always get the advice and treatment that are best for her.

Dr. Weil has been able to diagnose my son with 2 unusual problems. He has been very caring and considerate and had always been an advocate for my children.

As an earlier reviewer stated, Dr. Weil is accurate and to the point in his diagnosis. The staff is very attentive, the nurses always call back quickly. After dealing with several serious issues with my children, I couldn't recommend this doctor more highly.

Don't expect a lot of fluff and hand holding from Dr. Weil. He is brilliant and has a great dry sense of humor which we always appreciate. There has not been one moment when I have questioned his diagnosis. I was recommended to this practice and especially Dr. Weil by my fellow colleagues who have been with him for years with multiple children. I would highly recommend Dr. Weil and the other physicians in this group as well. He can draw a dancing Snoopy too!!

My child had severe stomach pain. After waiting for 30 minutes in the exam room(40 min. in waiting rm), he came in and stayed a total of 2 minutes. He was walking out when I was still talking! The nurse came in and told me they were extremely overbooked. I called him the next day during office hour b/c my child was still having pain and he never returned the call. AFter the office closed, the on call doctor told me she did not want to touch the case b/c she didn't have my child's file.

Dr. Weil may be a very good and competent doctor, however, he lacks bedside manner in interacting with his patients and their parents. We invariably always spent an average of 45 minutes to an hour waiting before being seen by him. Bad choice on my part, I will be changing doctors as soon as possible.

We've been w/this practice since '97, but we'd never seen Dr Weil. Today, we had a sick child visit, and he was available.He was extremely kind to my SHRIEKING 4yr old, listened to the entire 2 month saga and had several ideas about what was going on w/his fever. He ordered tests AND called me at home after 6PM to make sure I knew things were looking good. The practice is expanding their office area, so the waiting room is sort of "awful" right now, and the staff areas are sort of scattered...but I now can say I've seen all the peds w/this group & feel comfortable having any of them treat my children.

I am not impressed at all with Dr. Weil. After waiting forever in a waiting room with very few toys or books, you will be taken into a room to see Dr. Weil. He will likely be in a huge hurry because there are too many other kids waiting to see him as well. If you have any concerns, they will be quickly dismissed. He certainly thinks highly of himself and not your concerns. He certainly dismissed mine fast enough. And, he ended up giving my child the wrong vaccination after I told him that he had already received that particular shot. Talk about not listening! He didnt even apologize. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. Be warned he can not read his own handwriting on your chids chart so this could happen to you too.
