He completed an internship at Jersey Shore Medical Center, residency in Anesthesia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, and his pain fellowship in Pain Management in Milwaukee at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He taught as an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver before moving to his present position at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Winne has published research in the study of spinal medications for relief of pain. Dr. Winne has been named as a "Best Doctor in the United States" for the years 2001-2002 and as one of the "New Jersey Top Pain Management Doctors" by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in 2007-2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
