Dr. Richard Elliot Wolin, MD

I had a terrible experience with this so-called "physician". I was mis-diagnosed after a brief "questionnaire" with a serious mental illness that I did not have (later properly tested and found out I was on the autism spectrum) and subsequently over-medicated. His idea of practicing "medicine" is to prescribe one med and then chase all the side effects with other medications. At one time he was routinely sending patients to a therapist named Barbara Booth and for some strange reason Dr. Wolin is the only psychiatrist that Barbara will work with. She lost her credentials due to unethical treatment and inappropriate relations with patients and yet Wolin "highly recommended" her. Wolin was always looking for reasons to "dismiss" me as a patient and when I finally left his practice and was taken off the medications we discovered they had done permanent, lasting damage. I wouldn't recommend this physician to anyone. You have zero say in your treatment and if you attempt to advocate for… yourself, he threatens to drop you as a patient and tells you it's for your "own good" that you do things his way.
