Dr. Richard J. Wong, MD

Dr. Richard Wong is the best head/neck oncologist, hands down. I first sought a local oncologist who wanted to do a major invasive procedure in addition to plastic surgery. Dr. Wong suggested an alternative surgery, which turned out well with only a 12-hour stay at the hospital. Didn't even need to take a single Tylenol post-surgery! There was no pain. Amazing. So thankful for Dr. Wong.

Dr. Wong is a fantastic surgeon with an amazing bedside manner. He really listens to his patients (and their family members). He made what could have been a traumatic experience as easy as could be. He of course also cured my cancer. I have and will continue to highly recommend him.

In two pre-surgical consultations, Dr. Wong explained exactly what to expect. He spent a great deal of time answering all my questions. Sutures were placed in an area so that facial scarring was virtually unnoticeable upon healing. I could not ask for more in a head and neck surgeon.

Dr. Wong was excellent through the entire process from pre-surgery to post follow-ups. He clearly explained my diagnoses and what the thyroid procedure would entail and what I would expect. Even the surgical cut on my throat is not noticeable. I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Wong. During follow up visits he went over the results amd answered in laymen terms all my questions. I definitely recommend Dr. Wong as a head and neck surgeon and his entire staff is amazing.

Dr Wong is detailed and very patient with explaining everything which makes you feel comfortable and at ease with the surgery. Dr Wong is highly skilled and my wound from the procedure is healing extremely well.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had with Doctor Wong. He performed a complex surgery for me with incredible skill and professionalism, was phenomenal throughout the process 5+ stars.

It has been such a great pleasure to be under the care of Dr. Richard J. Wong at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). From the initial consultation leading up to my procedure and up until the post-op follow up appointment, Dr. Wong has been so professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate that he took his time to thoroughly explain to me in detail and in layman’s term my condition and the procedure. After listening to Dr. Wong who spoke with compassion and sincerity, I felt very secure and immediately developed full trust in him. Not to mention that his all staff have all been very professional and promptly responded to all my questions. Overall, I had a very wonderful and warm experience with Dr. Wong from start to finish and I would have no hesitations recommending him.
