Dr. Richard Allan Yokell, MD

Dr. Yokell is the best psychiatrist I have ever had. I have struggled with mental health for 15 years. While seeing Dr. Yokell over the last four years, I finally got a correct diagnosis and am now more stable and healthy than I ever remember being in my life. Dr. Yokell looks at his patients holistically, explains processes thoroughly so you know exactly what is going on with you and your medicine, but most importantly genuinely cares about you as his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Yokell!

Richard Yokell is dishonest. I signed communication release forms that would allow him to speak with my other doctor regarding results that were already given to him to determine the next course of action. Two-months later, I made an appointment because I was still having issues. I asked him directly about what my other doctor had said. Bottom-line, he failed to follow-up and claimed that he "couldn't get ahold of her" which is an outright lie to my face. I burned a $240 visit because it was apparently my fault that I didn't reach out and we couldn't proceed. I don't want this to happen to anyone else!!!

Takes time to listen. Works with the patient explaining all options including therapy, medication, and supplements, to help them choose what works best for them as an individual. Doesn't try to push medications. Easy to schedule appointments.

Dr. Yokell is thorough, thoughtful and very good with patient education. He is not one to just write a script and leave the room. He is also committed to treatment options that don't involve medication, but he'll prescribe if he thinks that's best. He's also very good at easing people off meds that may have been over prescribed by other clinicians.

Dr. Yokell is very knowledgeable. He looks at all aspects of your health. He found an underlying physical condition that was effecting my health and quality of life. Dr.'s had missed this for years. I would highly recommend him.

Dr yokel was so indecisive. After seeing him for six months and spending $500 in copays he still had not been able to prescribe a medication for me for anxiety.
