Dr. Richard Halpin Zimlich, MD

July 13, 2023 This was my first visit with Dr. Zimlich. He was kind and apologized several times for keeping me waiting! I feel confident, he will do what he can to find out what is causing my hip pain. I would highly recommend him!

I was referred to Low Country Orthopedic specifically Dr Zimlich because of pain I was having in my hip. After examining me he gave me a clear treatment path and left it up to me to decide what course of action to take. I chose to go with hip replacement surgery and he and his staff did a fabulous job fixing me up. 14 weeks later I developed an infection in my hip which required a revision surgery to clean out infection and replace parts of the artificial hip needless to say I was scared and disappointed at the idea of having to start over again but the staff and the doctors helped me thru it and I'm on my way to recovery. I am thankful to have had such attentive and caring people on my side.

I have seen Dr. Zimlich several times this year and he has always made sure I understood my condition and treatment options. I highly recommend him .

Have been going to Dr. Zimlich over 20 years, he is a great doctor, very kind and takes his time to answer all of your questions. His staff of nurses to all office workers are second to none, i recommend Lowcountry Orthopiedics to everyone with confidence that they will do the same for you.

Saw Dr. Zimlich three times, I was in extreme pain and he told me to go home and sit on the porch. Told him I couldn't drive and he said "You can't go anywhere anyway". (Start of the Corona virus) Told me three times I didn't need surgery. I went for a second opinion, had surgery and am now pain free. Would not recommend this dr.

A nasty piece of work. Didn’t look at records, didn’t know why we were there. Didn’t care!

Rude, haughty, no empathy, I would never return to his office. Staff(especially check-out) is great.
