Rick Carlson, CNP, is a primary care provider in Bourbonnais who cares for children and adults with a relationship-centered approach to everyday health needs.I was born premature, and my family spent a lot of time around hospitals when I was young. After having pneumonia as a child, I remembered the doctors who took extra time and made me feel safe. That stayed with me. I was first drawn to ministry, but healthcare became a way to serve people in a different setting. ""People are not numbers."" I believe care works best when I meet patients where they are, learn their goals and help them move toward the best quality of life possible. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and am certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. My practice includes primary care for children and adults, health guidance and support for ongoing concerns. I try to make visits practical, respectful and focused on what matters most to the patient and family.
