Dr. Rick Arthur Raimondo, MD

I had suffered from ankle and foot pain and swelling from my days playing sports in high school all the way into my thirties. Not one single doctor could figure out what was causing the problem or how to fix it. I finally saw Dr. Raimondo who diagnosed the problem, operated on my foot, and I have not had an issue since then. That was in 2005. I have the same problem in my other foot, and am actually going back to see him again now. I would not trust anyone else with my feet. He is the best orthopedic surgeon anywhere.

After being seen by 3 ankle specialist and 3 surgeons I am glad I was referred to Dr. Raimondo. Almost had surgery done for wrong diagnosis and probably would have ended up with a fused ankle. He knew my tendon was torn in my ankle even though the mri said it was not. Just was I hadwent to him 6 months earlier. A lot of pain for missed torn ligaments which then caused my tendon tear. He takes 4-6 weeks to get in but well worth the wait. Wait time at office varies but didnt want to take from his well deserved 5 stars.

I saw him about 3 months ago and he suggested that I get surgery on my ligament. He said we would cut the ligament. I went for a second opinion cause I never heard of it. After getting my opinion I went back to him. When I saw him his story changed and said it was nerve damage. I told him that it can't be cause I have no tingling or numbness. He said to me then go see someone else if you aren't going to listen to me. I got very frustrated with him cause stories kept changing and I would have to spend more money. Kept telling him that I want my life back cause itshe been two years and I'm very limited to what I can do.once again told me to go see someone else. He doesn't like being challenged or questioned by anyone. He also doesn't like when you tell him that you got a second opinion. The worse doctor I have every seen

I went for a torn ligament in my ankle . Dr Raimondo suggested an Arizona brace, this is a custom mad brace. He said it may take 8 months for this ligament to heal. Ok I go for the brace it is $1000 that my insurance doesn't cover, but it will help me, so I order it. I have worn it for a month. My ankle is worse,now my arch is affected. I go back to see Dr Raimondo . And ask him if I am wearing it correctly , he said "there is only one way to wear it ." Ok can you suggest anything to help with the pain in my hip and back from being unbalanced wearing this brace? " listen honey, I don't think you would be happy with this or surgery, so I suggest you go see someone else." "I will write a script to get the brace adjusted again as it is loose, but you should see someone else, as I can see you are frustrated." Yes I am frustrated ,my original injury is worse, I've spent well over $1000 for the brace and deductibles, you as my doctor have no suggestions and tell me go some where else.He… came highly recommended. He took no X-rays or MRI said he knew what the injury was. I did make an apt with another group, but for now I have a $1000 brace that isn't working and wasted time. I would not recommend him at all!

Had two surgeries with Dr Raimondo for a "neroma". Problem is, it was metatarsalgia that was my problem, he misdiagnosed it and I went through two extremely painful surgeries and tons if complications for nothing. I now have permanent damage, and just had a third surgery by another surgeon to correct the real issue and repair the botched first two. To make matters worse, Dr Raimondo told me I was still in pain from "nerve issues" and to "see pain management and give it two years". Thank heavens I left and found someone else.

Dr. Raimondo is the best Orthopedic Surgeon out there! After years of horrible pain from a previous injury and dealing with numerous surgeries and lengthy recovery times under another physician, I decided to research a new doctor and found Dr. Raimondo through a friend. I am thankful that the other (supposed "well known") doctors that were researched by my insurance company all turned me down for care. "They" refused to take another look at my case, but Dr. Raimondo didn't even hesitate. I am grateful for his expertise and professionalism as well as his compassionate and honest approach. After only one surgery (which was recommended by Dr. Raimondo, but ultimately was my choice) and only 4 months of recovery under Dr. Raimondo's care, I can happily say that the experience was nothing but positive and wonderful. After 7 long years, I can now finally walk, sleep and be active without the excruciating pain that at times left me miserable and hopeless. Dr. Raimondo is a… straight forward, caring person. He listened to everything I had to say about my injury/pain and that is not something that I had experienced with other physicians in the past. His staff - Every person that I had the pleasure of dealing with, from his his office staff, to his secretary... to his assistant, were all extremely nice, helpful and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Raimondo...He is a brilliant Orthopedic Surgeon. I wish I knew about Dr. Raimondo years ago!

I had heard highly about this physician from many people. Therefore I was very disappointed when my experience was less than satisfactory. I was told to arrive 15 min early for my first appointment and then waited >1 hr to see the doctor. His manner was professional during the examination. He gave the distinct impression that I would need surgery. However, when I obtained a copy of his consult he indicated that he was hesitant to perform surgery due to a co-existing back problem. None of this had been discussed with me. He prescribed an air cast splint. After wearing it for several days I contacted the office as it was not fitting properly (having been looked at by my primary physician). The physician assistant called me back after hours and then told me to go to store and buy another ankle support, did not request that I come into office for evaluation. I needed to reschedule my follow-up visit and then learned that it wasn't with doctor but with the physician assistant. I then… received a bill for $308 for the air cast support, an item that I learned could be purchased via internet for $39.99. I made the decision to get another opinion and did not return to this provider.

Dr. Raimondo has a good, caring, professional demeanor but the practice he is attached to (Orthopedic Surgeons or some such name), just seems unprofessional. I came in at 4 pm for my 4 pm appointment, had to wait 50 minutes before I was taken in to the patient room, another 10 minutes before an attending came and diagnosed my problem and then another 15 minutes till the doctor came in; by that time, I just wanted to leave. I don't even know if the doctor got the diagnosis right as I was just so tired of waiting, I couldn't remember a couple of the symptoms I had and thought about them later. When I spoke to the receptionist about the wait, she said I was lucky - most people had to wait longer. If I had been told beforehand that I would have to wait that long, I could have decided if I wanted to go with them or I would have mentally prepared myself to wait. Disappointing experience.

I had been having problems with an ankle fusion that was performed back in the 60's when I was little & was referred to Dr. Raimondo by my previous orthopedic doctor's office, after my doctor retired. While I am still going to therapy after having surgery in September, my ankle is feeling better than it has in a very long time & I would highly recommend Dr. Raimondo. The staff in his office is also extremely efficient & I have yet to have any difficulty with appointments or disability forms.
