Dr. Rick Dean Schoeling, MD

He spends more time talking about sports, politics, and his personal life than he does about your conditions. He makes patients wait so he can meet with walk-in Pharmaceutical salesmen. Many times I would have a serious problem and instead of doing tests right away he would say: "Let's keep an eye on it". He has a bad temper (quit his position as a dr. the only local hospital has because they wouldn't pay him more money and made him work weekends, leaving his patients to suffer when they really needed to be in a hospital.) He is very high strung and I have often wondered if he is on drugs.

Felt like they did not care. Antibiotics given when I did not need them, rude, and the most concern was privacy. Need a more professional Doctor.

He is the best Dr in Pittsburg. A wonderful Dr.

I am really impressed with the care my family and I receive from Dr. Schoeling and his nurses and Nurse Practitioner! I highly recommend Dr. Schoeling!!

office worker breached confidentiality, discussing other patients by name and diagnosis, left records visible to others, and double billed me for visit! He has also been in rehab for alcohol abuse!

Excellent Doctor. He is the most caring and knowledgable physican I have ever met. He makes you feel like he has know you forever. He discusses your treatment with you so you will understand what is going on. He makes you feel at ease at a time that you may be very apprehensive. He never makes you feel as though he must rush through your appointment, and takes the time to truely listen to you. Anyone would be exceptionaly lucky to have Dr. Schoeling as their Doctor.

Dr. Schoeling and his Nurse Practitioner, Carrie, are BOTH very qualified medical caregivers. I have zero complaints about the quality of medical care I received, except for a lack of a diagnosis for ongoing issues. My complaint revolves around the support staff employed there. Multiple issues with messages not being passed to the Dr., repeated issues with getting Rx refilled, etc...Great Doctor RUINED by poor quality staff.

Both dr schoeling, and his PA carrie both in my opinion practice poor quality medicine. I have a serious, debilitating, and painful condition. I originally saw them to try to receieve help. They do not know how to preform a physical exam nor even take time to. Instead they like to refer your case that may take months to do so. I followed all of their instructions and ended up having extremely painful test order and done without reason. By time I got a diagnosis from another sprcialist I had alreaqdy occured permenant extremely painful nerve damage that they told me dr scholeling should cont appropriate treatment. They said to ask them to switch my medication where they refused. And implied I was a drug addict when I already signed a doc. To allow them testing at any time. Insteat I heard the nurses and bothe carrie and the dr. Laughing and talking about me. On another cause. My father was severely sick for weeks w high fevers and pain... dr schoeling of course gave the fix it all… drug (steroid)without any tests. Cont to get worse lost over 30 lbs until I demanded full bloodwork, xrays, and tick profiles.... he came back w titers to rocky mountain fever. Dr schoeling also said there were noticks that spread erhlicia in our area which is wrong and he should know that!My final experience... an old woman barely able to walk and only had her daughter helping her out to the car... none of the numerouse nurses sitting at the desk got up to help... the woman fell cracking the back of her skull on the concert while blood went everywhere.....What a doctors office!! Please don't go there!!
