Dr. McElreath removed most of my parathyroid glands in 1996. Evaluation, surgery and postoperative visits were done with the upmost concern for my health and well-being. Being a nurse practitioner, I have seen other surgeons not take the care with their patients as Dr. McElreath has done.

Dr. Mcelreath did my subtotal thyroidectomy in May of 2004. I'm a little late in getting around to commenting, but I didn't see this page until today, 29 Dec 2020. In a nutshell: He did a fantastic job. No problems secondary to the surgery. I would give him 10 points if possible, but they limit me to 5. Outstanding surgeon!

I was referred to this office and Doctor. Couldn't get an appointment for three weeks due to their booked schedule. I was told to fill out paperwork online to avoid arriving having to arrive 45 minutes early to appointment. After getting lost in the building arrived right on time for schedule appointment and was told I could not the doctor. They didn't have the forms I filled out online. The doctor had a meeting and he couldn't be late. I have no idea how good this doctor is ... The doctor's receptionist was uncaring and didn't value my time. I was referred so my records should have been there already.

I had a nodule on my thyroid,the scan indicated it was cancer. I was referred to Dr. McElreath who put me at ease by saying you can't get an accurate cancer reading from a scan. However after he reviewed my medical history, I had radiation treatments in the 1950's, he said there was a 30-40% it was cancer. He recommended Thyroid removal. Throughout the entire process Dr. McElreath was very open with what to expect, honest on outcome, reasuring about the future and very caring. I had the surgery and happy to report there was no cancer. I highly recommend Dr. McElreath, he is a 5+ star doctor.
