Dr. Ricky Lee Ramsey, MD

I've had a number of surgeries in my life because of a bone deformity in my youth and later becoming "accident prone". I had surgery w/ Dr. Ramsey as my anesthesiologist Wednesday and we discussed some issues I've had with allergies to opiates and alternatives. After discussing it, he came up with a plan of attack in which he was confident and sounded like it was different from the "usual" way. This was the *first* time I've ever woken up from a surgery and was coherent 20 minutes after moving into recovery. I was able to talk with the surgeon, understand and even ask questions after the surgery. I still remember the discussions. I've never remembered talking to the doctor after a surgery and always had to make sure that I had a family member there to hear and understand so they could communicate it to me the next day.
