Dr. Riffat Mahmud, MD

The doctor seemed half asleep during my entire visit. Ordered what I now know were unnecessary tests (for instance, a bone scan, though I have no family history of osteo nor any issues that would speak to needing the test) and I had to call numerous times and for several weeks after the test was completed. Also had to call several times to get results of yearly blood work and had to repeatedly ask for those results to be sent to me, but they sure want their money for the office fees! Pre-existing kept the insurance company from paying it - another issue with this doctor - so after several months I received my first invoice ($195). Since then, I've made regular payments, but am still being threatened with collections. All my test results were given to me by the same person who answers the phone and sets up appointments - never talked to the doctor again (past doctors have always called me personally to give me results and go over any findings/recommendations).
