It saddens me to have to update this review to 1 star from my previous 5 star review. I used to love going to this office so much that I referred several friends and family members over the years. In fact, my wife is who referred me to Dr. Caponera so that is proof that referrals count(or should at least). Today my visit was different. After wearing my retainers for over a year the top one broke in 2 places. Remembering that I purchased insurance on them I scheduled an appointment to have them replaced and see if that was the best option for closing 2 spaces that were left after having 4 molars removed in order to get braces with Dr. Caponera a few years back. Trusting him as a professional I had the teeth removed as instructed. Now since the teeth are not staying closed as they did while I had braces on I need a solution. Today I was given a quote of either $250 for metal braces, $500 for clear, or $3,200 for Invisalign. Keep in mind these prices are for only the top and this is after… I spent THOUSANDS of dollars for my braces at the same office. The summary for Invisalign showed a $4,000 "Friends & Family" discount that they spoke highly about as if they were doing me a favor. I expressed to one of the girls that I did not want to go through braces again and that I was upset about the cost for Invisalign because my dental hygienists always point out that those teeth should have never been removed in the first place. I also mentioned that I have referred people to them over the years and the response I received from one of the girls was "Oh that one person...yeah." HOW RUDE!!! No it was not ONE person. I have referred SEVERAL people to Dr. Caponera over the last 3 years and the only reason I was there was because my wife referred me! The least Dr. Caponera could have done was say something...anything, as I was walking out visibly upset. This is definitely not the way to retain customers. I will most definitely not be back.
