Dr. Rinat Tal, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Tal for 5 years. When I came to her my previous psychiatrist had me on a max dose of several medications. Despite complaining to my previous doctor, I was shuttled between medications, for years and years. Finally I saw Dr. Tal and told her I wanted to try a minimum amount of medication. It took about a year for us to figure out the proper dosage and find something that I was comfortable with. I still see Dr. Tal on a regular basis and I love her! I feel like she really cares about me, not just as a patient, but as a person.

Horrible psychiatrist. Pill pushing and all about getting patients in and out in 5-10 mins so she can get paid. Worst personality skills I've ever seen in mental health provider. And she couldn't even get the prescription correct after multiple times. It's quite sad that she is a psychiatrist, she's all about the money. She does more harm than good for people who are especially vulnerable.

Meeting Dr. Rinat Tal has changed my life. She guided me through storms and helped my healing by getting closer to the true nature of my emotions and understanding its sources. My mind is sensitive in a way that sometimes I break from reality, having delusions and depression episodes and because of Dr. Rinat Tal I am more capable, functioning, accepting and loving myself during these episodes. I believe achieving mental strength is a lifetime journey and I am grateful to have Dr. Rinat Tal as my therapist. She is very much to the point in every session with warmth and compassion. She is a true professional and has a great personality. I can’t recommend her enough.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Tal for the past 4 years. She pretty much saved my life. I have panic disorder and she has helped tremendously. I love her professional input and how comfortable she makes me feel. She is a very relaxed doctor with great knowledge. Her office location is great and there is a 2hr free parking behind the building. Dr. Tal is very professional, flexible and on time. I’d totally recommend her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Tal's since 2017. I was referred by USC as she accepts my student insurance. She has helped me overcome deep early childhood feelings of worthlesness and shame. I came in crying each session and suffered from imposter syndrome despite having many accomplishments under my belt. After three years of care and commitment to my health and recovery I've made astounding progress in my personal life. Along with the assistance of the right anti-depressant and the work I had to do on myself all instructed by Dr. Tal, I can envision a future that includes happiness and a sense of accomplishment. She's fantastic, compassionate, funny and has nice travel magazines in her waiting room.

Dr. Tal is the first psychiatrist I have met who is actually focused on healing, not numbing. I knew I needed to seek medication, but was concerned about stigma and side effects. I initially chose to work with her because of her approach to medicine that includes talk therapy. This approach has been so helpful and has remained consistent over time. I have never once felt judged by her. She has been a great help to me, and I am incredibly grateful for her practice.

Dr. Tal is the most compassionate, caring, and skilled psychiatrist I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I've been her patient for years and she has helped me in innumerable ways. I could not recommend her more highly or be more grateful to have her as part of my healthcare team.

Dr. Tal has given me so much practical advice over the years. She administers big doses of genuine love and caring. She has always worked with me with my crazy schedule and is always accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Tal as she is a great doctor and healer.

I came to Dr. Tal five years ago in the midst of one of my most suicidal episodes of my life, and despite being a lifelong severe depressive, I was never good at therapy. I needed a psychiatrist because it was time to admit I needed some medical help for this disease, but also wanted a doctor who specialized in talk therapy, and having both those things is a rare fit, even in this city. What I love about Dr. Tal, is that she is open to all forms of Eastern and Western help, doesn't feel she is above anything, and her humanity is just a breath of fresh air to someone who has been around a lot of doctors. There is a quiet steeliness to her, but direct, and still warm and funny. I don't know who that is that gave the 1 star review, but that description does not fit Dr. Tal at the slightest and I would have run from her, and probably be dead, if that description had remotely been true. In fact prescriptions are the last thing you talk about and are only as needed.

I have been a client of Dr. Tal's for nearly ten years. She has helped me through some very dark times in my life. She is warm and compassionate and extremely professional. She is not one of those doctors who believes in spending five minutes with a client and then simply writing a prescription. I appreciate how she has taken the time to know me and support me for as long as I have been seeing her. My time with Dr. Tal has been invaluable and I highly recommend her to anyone in need.
