Dr. Risa Maura Jampel, MD

I had redness on my abdomen. A previous dermatologist had diagnosed it as a fungus and gave me anti-fungal cream. When the redness and itching did not go away, I saw Dr. Jampel. Unlike the other doctor, she took a culture. The results were MRSA, infection. The antibiotic and cream helped it go away. My follow-up appointment with Dr. Jampel had to be cancelled due to snow. Her office went out of their way to make a convenient appointment. Dr. Jampel prescribed an ointment. Both my wife and I strongly recommend her.

Dr Jampel is thorough, honest and focuses on the condition and the patient's needs. Based on my experience with Dr. Jampel, I have also taken my teens to her for dermatology needs. She treats them with respect and speaks to them rather than talking through 'Mom'. She is terrific! Also, her office is the only dr office that I find I do not need to wait. We all have busy schedules and I appreciate that she is always on time.

Was put on hold early afternoon. Called back late afternoon to learn she is not taking new patients.

I think Dr. Jampel is a competent and thorough physician. She is friendly and asks for personal concerns before the examination. Her staff is friendly and willing to be of assistance.

Doctor was rude, impatient and very unkind.

My family and I have been patients of Doctor Jampel's for many years. She has obviously always been an excellent diagnostician, clearly a compassionate physician and human being. She makes us feel as if she has all the time in the world for us, we never feel rushed. I love that she speaks to my kids respectfully and as if they were her own. I would never want to see another dermatologist, I've expressed that I wished that she had multiple specialties, as I've developed a great rapport with her and feel very comfortable talking to her. I trust Doctor Jampel implicitly and highly recommend her. You will be in excellent hands!

My daughters and I have been treated by Dr. Jampel for at least 8 years now, and I would never consider seeing another dermatologist. She is knowledgeable, confident and engaging. Understanding the teenage mind and how to get compliance is key to being able to successfully treat this particular demographic, and Dr, Jampel has this down cold, with lots of personal and professional experience. She is matter-of-fact and unflappable, very confident in her opinions and diagnoses, just what you want in a medical professional. I would unhesitatingly recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr Jampel for many years. Her professionalism, concern, dedication and, not to mention, plain old smarts are beyond compare. I trust her opinion and diagnosis implicitly and have even taken my children to see her. The office staff has always been very eager to help as well as kind and courteous. Dr Jampel runs a tight ship and has high expectations of all of her staff; this is reflected in the care and efficiency with which her office runs.
