Dr. Risa C Samuels, DDS

My daughter was missing 3 teeth and although it took a long time, Dr. Samuels managed to bring those teeth down. Truly a blessing from God. Highly recommend.

Thank you, thank you Dr. Samuels. My daughter’s smile is beautiful along with the confidence she gained with it. You gave her that. Your saturday hours are a blessing to working parents and your staff was always professional and accomodating.

The waiting time is short however the dr' s attitude isn't for everyone.

Dr. Samuels should be avoided at all costs. She is extremely unhelpful. When she hurts you, she does not apologize, even if you tell her that you have been hurt or are bleeding. She will never tell you what her plan is for you, in her opinion, you need to let her do her job. She makes you wait an hour just to spend five minutes for your turn. Most of the time she never changes my wire or rubber bands; in fact, most of the time I ask her to do it because I'm scared about my oral hygiene. She will try and stall your braces for as long as she could. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, SHE IS EVIL

Dr. Samuels was rude and cold to my daughter. She laughed at the pictures of her mouth and said, "looks like somebody needs me, huh?!" She just did not seem friendly or caring in any way. At one point she asked my daughter what she disliked most about her teeth and when my daughter responded that it was the discoloration, Dr. Samuels snappishly said, "well i can't do anything about that you know." Needless to say, we went elsewhere for treatment.

Dr. Samuels may be very knowledgeable and experienced but all that amounts to nothing due to her attitude, she does not have carisma to work with children, let alone special needs children. The office does not accomondate working parents. Most Orthodontist's office do repairs for braces on the same date of visit, Dr. Samuels makes you loose a day of work and pull out your child from school for a 10 minute repair. She only does repairs Monday-Friday during school hours. My son has ADHD and is very curious, if he asks a question, the response is "who's the orthodontist". Think more than twice if you work, value your child time at school, and want a professional that can explain any question your child may have with regards to treatment. I'm in the process of switching over to another orthodontist.
