if i could give her 0 stars i would. i have seen many psychiatrists over 10 years & she is by far the worst. if you have a voice, if you’re willing to fight for your mental health, do not see her, she will drop you as a patient. if you do not want to be put on 17 medications in 1.5 years, do not see her. if you care at all about your mental health, do not see her. she is a vile human being who only cares about making money off of her patients. not only is she incredibly rude, she will gaslight you with everything you say, she will tell you “your therapist is wrong, your therapist is not a doctor, I AM a doctor & you shouldn’t even see a therapist because she’s feeding you lies” when you tell her you were addicted to a certain medication not even 5 years ago, she will prescribe you not only super high doses, but daily doses & put you on EVERY SINGLE CLASS of that medicine that there is. when you go into a depressive episode, instead of helping you then, she’ll take you off of ALL of… your meds & not even treat the depression until you get to the point of checking yourself into a psychiatric hospital & then when you beg & plead for an antidepressant she’ll give it to you & discharge you as a patient because in her words “you don’t trust my expertise you just want to tell me what you want & expect me to prescribe it for you” which for 1 i have NEVER asked for a single medicine, i have ALWAYS gone along with every single one of her recommendations. i only now, after 1.5 years & being so severely depressed i can’t get out of bed, spoke up & ASKED for her to please give me an antidepressant. did not request a certain one, did not tell her which one i wanted, just asked to please be treated for what she diagnosed me with. i am now stuck with no psychiatrist for ATLEAST 3 weeks, but more than likely longer. she is one of the worst human beings i have EVER met in my life & i beg anyone who actually wants help to run so far away from not only rita curran, but citizen advocates itself. rita has withheld my meds from me, has misdiagnosed me, has given me ultimatums if i want to be treated & has treated me so inhumanly. please, if you care about yourself, DO NOT DO IT. take it from me, a mom, fighting desperately for her life, save yourself, before she slowly takes your life away from you. if you take anything from this, avoid citizen advocates & rita curran especially like the plague.

Rita is the most incompetent, unprofessional medical professional I have ever encountered. I strongly suggest if you care about your health that you run as far and as fast as you can to steer clear of this so called nurse practitioner .
