Dr. Rita Malvaso Hancock

I saw eight doctors before this one figured out what was wrong with me. I wish I would have gone to her first.

I told my other doctors for years that I had a pinch in my side around my back and ribcage but the xrays and mri didn't show anything so I kept getting brushed off until this doctor actually felt around and found the problem. Now I can take a deep breath without it hurting I have more energy and the swelling in my legs went down, too.

I went to see her today. I had an EMG test done. Not the funnest test I've had. But she talks you through it. She has a great sense of humor. I feel like she actually listen to me. I have a lot of doctors. She actually confirmed something I have been telling my other doctors but felt like they kept brushing me off. Feeling excited about treatment hopefully some real answers.

Dr. Hancock definitely goes the extra mile to help, did a great job with my problem, and can work miracles on her backs with that alignment treatment and trigger point injections. HOWEVER, based on what people have said in the waiting room, she will be honest about it if she CAN'T help you. Isn't that better than a doctor who just strings you along to take your money? Lastly, it's totally true that she'll refuse to keep treating you if you repeatedly miss appointments, but I don't blame her. I don't miss appointments with my doctors, hair stylists, or anybody. It's just rude! If I could give her ten stars, I would.

I was having pain all over after being rear ended while at a stoplight. I had all sorts of aches and pains and she really helped to locate the pain and alleviate it. I love that she attempts to resolve medical issues with shots and muscle/spine manipulation instead of pills. Thank you!!!

Dr. Handcock spent most of the time telling us of her intelligence. Said she had treated 100,000s of cases. If you want to listen to a know it all and questions not allowed or belittled when you finally get to ask a question she is good. Rude woman-not professional!

I LOVE Rita Hancock and have been seeing her for about 3 years for alignments and pain control. She's the absolute best when it comes to mindful pain control. If you want to live pain free without narcotics, she will straighten you out. She's a very busy lady, so be prompt to keep your appointments.

Avoid this doctor. I first went to Dr. Hancock several years back, and I liked her a lot at first - she seemed quite friendly (even chatty) and knowledgeable. After a few visits, she insisted I have back surgery by a particular surgeon in OKC. That went all awry. Instead of being supportive and continuing care, Hancock dropped me as a patient suddenly. She might have been embarrassed that my back surgery (through her recommended surgeon) had gone all wrong, or maybe she was in over her head or only wants simple cases. Who knows. Hancock's reaction and handling of me as a patient was nothing if not bizarre.

Rita is a gifted doctor. I'd recommend her highly to anyone with chronic pain looking to feel better and heal.

She went the extra mile, or two, to find some answers to my issues. She asked in-depth questions, listened and was never dismissive. She was honest, straightforward, extremely competent, and genuinely committed to MY well being. With a great bedside manner and personality, and I think I've found one terrific doctor.
