Dr. Rita M Pappas, MD

Rita Pappas, MD, is a Staff physician in the Center for Pediatric Hospital Medicine and the Department of General Pediatrics, located on the main campus of Cleveland Clinic. She was appointed in 2004. Dr. Pappas is board-certified in pediatrics. She currently serves as Associate Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program; Activity Director, Pediatric Grand Rounds; and Co-Chair of the Editorial Board for Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital. Her specialty interests include pediatric hospitalist medicine, residency education, patient safety, and care paths. She is committed to family-centered care and is a physician leader in family-centered rounds -- listed as a "Best Practice" by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) at a recent site visit. Dr. Pappas participates readily in resident education and medical education at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
